Teaching and course design with digital technologies
This course is designed to take course designers and VET trainers through a rigorous process to create new or improved programmes that respond to technological changes and make use of new technology. The emphasis is on augmented and virtual reality (AR and VR) and 3-dimensional printing (3DP), but most of the principles apply to other emerging technologies as well.
Each module stands on its own, although some sections build on others – for instance, in the learning design module it is assumed that you will be familiar with the technology that you are using, and know what the content needs to be for your course or session.
You do not have to do all the modules. If you are a teacher or trainer, modules 5, 6 and 7 are most relevant, while if you are involved in designing a vocational programme from scratch or you want to assess how to respond to new technology in industry, 1 to 4 will also be very relevant.
Module 8 is about developing training for teachers and trainers who will be involved in using new technology.
The Digi4VET manual, available by clicking this link, provides the content of all the modules (but not the exercises) in the form of a pdf book.
